Ethics training from other organizations provided the primary course topic is ethics or ethics-related. In general, courses that focus on the following topics will meet this requirement:

Accreditation & Certification Requirements:
Designee with CPKM®, CKMA®, CKME®, & CKMS® must obtain a minimum of 12 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) every 12-month period to stay current in their profession. Individuals with CPKM®, CKMA®, CKME®, & CKMS® are required to present verification for CPE compliance by the end of their anniversary month either (1) online or (2) by calling a Member Services. Any organization or practitioner interested in getting accredited as a KM Training Provider must adhere to the CBOR Policy Guidance and  Requirements. For More Info Click Here

ACCREDITATION POLICY

CPE Requirements:
CKMA® CPKM® CKMS® CKME® must earn 12 hours of CPE per 12-month period. At least 6 of these hours must relate directly to the KM Strategy and KM Planning and 3 hours must relate directly to ethics and 3 KM Concept. If any CKMA® CPKM® CKMS® CKME® has earned more than 12 hours of CPE in their previous reporting period, they may carry forward up to 10 of these extra hours to meet their current CPE requirements.

Maintaining CPE Records:
CKMA® CPKM® CKMS® CKME® are responsible for keeping track of their CPE and retaining for three years supporting documents for CPE credit they earn, such as CPE certificates, letters of attendance, or letters of completion. The ACKMP does not maintain CPE records for members. CPE records should not be sent to the ACKMP unless specifically requested by the ACKMP’s Team Members in the event of a Continuing Professional Education Audit.

Extensions of Compliance Deadlines:
CKMA® CPKM® CKMS® CKME® may request a 30-day extension online by emailing info@ackmp.org to request this extension. Additional extensions for CPE compliance may be granted for extenuating circumstances. Circumstances that may qualify for an extension include loss of employment and hospitalization. To apply for an extension, a written request may be sent to the ACKMP citing the special circumstances.
